ulta3 nail crush

$2 nail polish is difficult to resist at the best of times, but these colours are so nice! You've seen fruit tingle in my previous post, I'm slowly working my way through them to see which ones I like best.

Left - Right, gossip, fruit tingle
Left - Right, twinkle toes, silver grey

Fruit Tingle

As you're probably already aware I'm having a huge crush on this brand, ulta3. The nailpolishes are only $2 each and they have such an amazing range to choose from. I'm currently crushing on this neon pink shade called  fruit tingle
Check out some other colours (atomic OJ) I've posted about here

Will post more nail colours soon!

Essence Cosmetics Review

I've never tried this brand before but was curious as everything was so cheap. I thought I may as well try it out. The display looks quite young so I wasn't too sure how the products were going to be. I'm definitely happy I gave it a go.

Price: $3.50
Not a re purchase
This coverstick wasn't my best purchase, compared to my usual Rimmel concealer this one is very dry and hard to blend. It doesn't last long and creases.
See here from Priceline

Price: $2.49
Colour: 17 tu-tu-turquoise
REPURCHASE
I love love love this, possibly one of the best eyeliners I have ever purchased, I went and got the black also. The colour is super vibrant, really smooth, doesn't smudge and lasts all day
See here on the Essence website

Price: $4.25
REPURCHASE
This is one of my favourite mascaras, definitely definitely waterproof, gives great volume and lasts well. It does thin throughout the day however, and cannot be reapplied smoothly. Still love it.
See here from Priceline

Studio nails, ultra strong nail hardener
Price: $1.75
Repurchase
This polish dries super quick and has an instant effect, good for when you're in a bit of a rush. Its not as nourishing as the XXL thickener, but I would still recommend it.
See here from Priceline

Studio nails, XXL nail thickener
Price: $1.47
Repurchase
I cannot believe that other products cost so ridiculously much, at only $1.47 you could buy 10 of these for the price of one nail hardener. This one is so great, its kind of like a gel, a instant nail thickener without going flakey, I use it as a base coat under all of my nail colours. AMAZE

Organic Care Hair

I find it really difficult to find beauty products and hair care that is natural and free from animal cruelty. So when I do find something I like that is exactly that, I find it hard not to share with people. This brand was relatively new to me, first seeing it mid 2013, I purchased these from my local Safeway for only $3.99 each. I have tried the other types, (colour shield) and that has worked for me too. You should definitely get on this, natural products are often expensive! Winning!

See more here

Pros;
- Cruelty free, Vegan
- Australian
- Recycled packaging
- Affordable
- Environmentally friendly

Nail Stickers

I couldn't be bothered painting my nails so I pulled out the old faithful nail stickers, I got these Sally Hansen ones for $3, winning! and because I'm so cheap I can use the packet for two manicures, $1.50 for each time, sounds great!

Sukin Skincare

To be honest I'm not much of a skincare person, I do remove my makeup and cleanse and I'm definitely an everyday moisturiser, but I don't have a huge routine as my skin is normally pretty good. Although I have sensitive skin, these natural products are non abrasive and non drying. I have used Olay facial moisturiser for as long as I can remember, but I don't like that they test on animals, so I've been on the hunt for animal friendly and organic products. My sister recommended Sukin, and I haven't gone back. These are gentle and great to use everyday.

Pros;
- Natural products
- Carbon Neutral
- Australian
- Animal friendly
- Affordable
- Doesn't damage sensitive skin

Honestly I don't have any Cons!

Facial moisturiser here

Do you use any other great natural, animal friendly brands?

Fatal Attraction - BYS Nails

Instagram @mikaelahofman
BYS is actually a really inexpensive but good brand, every time I go into this one $2 shop I want to buy the neon collection nail polishes, mainly the green but someone always talks me out of it. This time I decided I was going to do it, biiig decision at only $4 each right? I was initially really dissapointed with the consistency as it's very thin, I tried doing a base of white, but my polish was very dry and I had to start over again. In the end I had to do three coats to get the brightness I was after, which turned out to be quite a nice colour.

Excuse my poor nails, I'm currently in the process of trying to strengthen them, look out for that post soon!

 Pros;
- Amazing colour
- Affordable
- Against animal testing

Cons;
- Thin consistency
- Stains nail bed (need to do a base coat)

Still a repurchase :)

Laurelle Perfumes Review

I'm sure you have seen those people who hang out in the middle of shopping center's and try to sell you things around Christmas time right? Well I got sucked in. I got three perfumes, a body wash and two male scents for $70, which is a pretty good reason to get sucked in! I've never heard of this brand before which is apparently British, the salesperson told me that they were re-imaging and doing this deal to get their company more well-known.

Laurelle - City Girl, New York
I love love love this fragrance, I've been looking for Hillary Duff - With Love for ages and couldn't find it anywhere, I kept being told it was out of stock, or not in production anymore. City Girl reminds me of With Love, a sort of coconut smell, subtle but still sweet, now my go to everyday scent.

Laurelle - If Only
If Only is a more mature scent, but still very sweet, I often go to this one on a night out or more formal occasion.

Laurelle - Closer
Closer is a sweet floral fragrance, less so than If Only (above), a lighter everyday fragrance.

All in all I'm happy I purchased these products. I don't have many perfumes so now I have a good variety to choose from. Check out their website http://www.laurelle.co.uk

Pros;
- No Animal Testing
- Great scents
- Inexpensive
- Cute packaging

Cons;
- Need to spray a fair amount to have all day coverage
- Limited stockists

What's your go to everyday fragrance?
Have you heard of this brand before?

Kmart, I love you

If you've been reading this, then I'm sure by now you must know that I have a little love for shoes... and Kmart. They mix so well together because Kmart always has fashionable and comfortable footwear, that is ridiculously cheap.

I had to go up a size in the wedges (right) as the vamp was quite stiff and tight. Both shoes are extremely light and stable. The sandals (left) have no grip, so you need to be careful on slippery surfaces... almost found out the hard way. The wedges however have a rubber sole (lifesaver!) both neutral colours are perfect in my summer wardrobe! I actually spotted these exact sandals in another store for over $50, so winning!

Kmart Sandals - $12
Kmart Wedges - $15

What is your go to summer shoe?
