On Trend - Studded Boots

For those of you who have seen my Instagram @mikaelahofman, you may have already seen these babies! Everyone has mixed feelings about these, but I love them! The pointed toe, studs and stiletto heel are super on trend, I've only had one friend who has said she actually likes them, whaaaat!

 Inniu Tryst - $109.95
Snapped up in a warehouse sale for $35, winning.

They are quite high with no platform, but feel sturdy enough to walk with, the heel is super thin and the sole feels rounded so makes it a little unstable. Due to the pointed toe, I had to go up a size; All in all these are reasonably comfortable for their size! As they are made from synthetic materials, you can already see some creases around the movement of the foot, but the studs act as a distraction so no big deal here! This style is amazing for short people like me, actually makes me look like I have legs

What do you think about this trend?

DIY Galaxy Converse

As promised, here is the finished product of my sisters converse! I really want to keep them, they turned out much better than the earlier version as the shoe is canvas and gives off a nicer finish. Might have to invest in doing some of these for myself! After a lot of thought I decided on the white laces.

Note: You might be able to tell that the rubber sole came out much cleaner, whiter and looking almost brand new! How I did this? Toothpaste and an old brush or scrubber. WIN

Want - Floral Fairylights

Just a quick little post;

My friend and I bought some cheap fairy lights for new years decorations, and now they are sitting at home in my wardrobe. I tried to think of some cool things I could do with them to decorate my room, how amazing are these floral lights?!

DIY Galaxy Shoes

DIY Galaxy Print Shoes

Materials:
Plain shoes/old shoes
Acrylic paint (assorted colours)
Paint brushes
Masking Tape
Water
Sponge
Toothpicks
Glitter
Glue
Scotchguard / water-proofer

Steps:
Gather materials

NOTE: tape the base of the shoe with masking tape if possible, you can use black paint at a later stage if the tape wont stick

Paint in sections, using a 'dab' action, or sponge to spread
Begin with base colour (blue) then add purple and white to finish
Be as messy as you want :)

Add stars using a thin paint brush or toothpick
Add smaller stars (dots) with toothpick, scattered around darker areas of the shoe
'Splatter' with watered down paint and a brush or by using a spray bottle
Add glitter with glue
Use a water-proof spray (scotchguard)

Done!

Also revamping my sisters old chucks with this same technique, will post photos when finished!
